At the end of the Novarock festival, I arrived at the Nickelsdorf's train station with an intention to catch a train REX 9415 at 9:59 to Hengyeshalom. The online timetable as well at the multiple numerous station workers confirmed the the train will arrive to platform 1. However, there was another train already there. I asked multiple station workers multiple times to confirm the platform number and they all confidently states: platform 1. Moreover, the station workers prevented us from going to a different plantform by scanning the tickets and only allowing those passengers, whose train departs from the same platform, to enter a specific platform. In other words, only people whose train departed from platform 1 could enter plantform 1. The same applied to platform 2.
One minute before the train arrived, the station workers told us to run to the other platform (platform 2). However, the bar gate was already closed and NONE of the passengers could make it to the platform 2. Thus, the train left completely empty and all the passengers missed the train. I, particularly, missed the subsequent train connection to Budapest, thus losing the ticket and the money.
The next train arrives at 12:10, which is 2 HOURS later and the train station workers still don't have the information about the platform number.
The situation is completely unacceptable and easily avoidable
